Take Action

What You Can do to Fight Fraud

  • If you are running a ballot initiative campaign, research your options for signature gathering firms. There are plenty of good, progressive players out there ready to help you. NEVER hire a firm with a history of fraud allegations.
  • You can also add your fraud report here on the Signature Fraud Hotline page. We might feature it on our FraudWire blog.

Contact our Legislators

Part of the reason signature fraud has become so widespread is because legislators have failed to address the problem. You can help them get started. There are 24 initiative states: Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Florida, Idaho, Illinois, Maine, Massachusetts, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming. If you are from one of these states, use our Write Your Representative tool to quickly write a letter to your state officials to demand action to keep direct democracy honest and protect voters.

Spread the Word

We've made it easy for you to tell your friends and colleagues about how they too can stop fraud in state politics.

Alert the Media

Signature fraud is a problem that has gone largely unnoticed by the media. Use our Letter to the Editor Tool to alert your community about the need for greater oversight and enforcement of fraud.
